CPM 2022 Teacher Conference

This session will give participants strategies to intrinsically motivate students to fully participate in study teams. Strategies include student self reflections on their own participation and giving students effective feedback about their team cooperation. Jo Boaler’s positive math norms and examples of mastery-based assessment are introduced as ways to boost math confidence, motivate students to increase their engagement in study teams, and take responsibility for their own learning.
